Privacy Policy

Overview

HumanVerified is operated by USBN Ventures LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information HumanVerified collects, how it’s used, and the choices available to you. It applies to the public Service at HumanVerified.biz and to administrator use of the platform.

Information we collect

• Organization records: name, description, website, public contact details.
• Team member records: name, title, location, bio, private and public contact information, profile status.
• Human ID and verification records: public ID, status, issue/suspension/revocation history, verification codes, communication type, an optional short message excerpt, an optional recipient reference.
• Feedback board submissions: title, body, category, optional name and contact email.
• Reports: Human ID or code referenced, description, optional contact email and screenshot.
• Administrative data: login credentials (via Supabase authentication), admin notes, audit log entries.
• Technical data: basic, privacy-conscious analytics such as verification page views and counts. We do not build visitor profiles.

How we use information

We use this information to operate the verification system, maintain team member and organization directories, respond to reports, secure administrator accounts, and improve the Service. We do not sell personal information.

Public information

The following may be displayed publicly on a Human ID profile, organization page, or verification page:

• Display name, job title, and location, if provided
• Organization name
• Human ID and its current status
• Issue date
• Email or phone number, only when explicitly designated public by the team member or organization

Private information

The following is never made public automatically:

• Private email addresses and phone numbers
• Organization private contact details
• Administrator notes and internal reports
• Audit log history
• Login and account credentials
• Report contents and reporter contact details

One organization’s private information is never visible to another organization’s administrators.

Cookies and analytics

HumanVerified uses a session cookie for administrator authentication and a local browser identifier to prevent duplicate votes on the feedback board. We use privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics (page views, verification counts) and do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How information is stored and shared

Data is stored using Supabase (authentication, database, and storage infrastructure) and is protected with row-level security so that private and organization-scoped data is not accessible outside its intended scope. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of HumanVerified or others.

Data retention

Human IDs and verification records are retained permanently, even after suspension or revocation, so that historical communications remain independently verifiable — records are never deleted, only marked suspended or revoked. Private contact information and admin notes are retained for as long as the associated account is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter for security and audit purposes.

Security

We use Supabase Row Level Security, protected administrator authentication, server-side issuance of Human IDs and verification codes, and separation of public and private data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

To request access, correction, or removal of your information, contact the administrator of the organization that issued your Human ID, or the HumanVerified platform administrator through the feedback board. Because Human IDs and verification records exist to preserve a verifiable historical record, removal requests for those specific records may be limited to suspension or revocation rather than deletion; private contact information, notes, and account data can be corrected or removed on request.

Children’s privacy

HumanVerified is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

International users

HumanVerified is operated from the United States and data is stored on U.S.-based infrastructure. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page.
